Howard Smith

Howard Smith serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Industry Self-Regulation and the Vice President of BBB National Programs. They previously held positions as Partner at Olshan from 2008 to 2018 and Deputy Director at the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council from 2019 to 2024. Smith also practiced as an Associate at Barton Barton & Plotkin LLP and as Special Counsel at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, P.C. They obtained a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law in 1999 after earning an A.B. in History from Vassar College in 1996.
