Adam Szabo

Adam Szabo is the Director of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, having begun this role in 2024. With nearly 15 years of experience in the orchestral, broadcast, and touring industries, Adam previously served as the Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Manchester Collective, an organization co-founded in 2016. Their work has focused on innovative collaborations and audience engagement, seeking to redefine classical music's relevance. Prior to a career in arts management, Adam was a professional cellist, performing with numerous prestigious orchestras in the UK. Adam has also held board membership at Manchester Concert Hall Limited and has an extensive educational background in music, including degrees from the University of Sydney and the Royal Northern College of Music.
