Alexandra Rutherford

Alexandra Rutherford has extensive experience in the arts and fundraising sectors, having served as Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent from February 2000 to March 2004. Alexandra's tenure at the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra spanned from November 2004 to October 2013, during which multiple roles were held, including Business Coordinator and various event administration positions. From June 2009 to November 2021, Alexandra was the Director of Gardening Scotland, Scotland's premier gardening and outdoor living show. Prior to these roles, Alexandra worked as an Administrator for Glasgow 1999 UK City of Architecture and Design from April 1998 to February 2000 and as an Administrator for Paragon Ensemble Limited in 1997-1998, managing office operations and concert planning. At Perennial - Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society from March 2004 to August 2011, Alexandra was the Regional Manager for Scotland, focusing on marketing and fundraising strategies. Alexandra's academic background includes a BA in Music and a CPGS in Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, complemented by Highers from St Margaret's School Edinburgh.
