Andrew Sands

Andrew Sands is an experienced professional in information security and audit management, currently serving as the Head of Information Security (Operations) at BBC since May 2003. In this role, Andrew oversees the Information Security Operations teams, which include a 24x7 Security Operations Centre focusing on incident response and vulnerability management. Prior to this, Andrew established and managed the Security Operations Centre in Salford, and held various positions related to information security governance, policy development, and audit management. Andrew's earlier experience includes consultancy roles at Ernst & Young LLP, specializing in financial audits and information systems assurance. Andrew holds an ACA qualification from ICAEW and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Hull.
