Ben Wilkes

Ben Wilkes is a seasoned broadcasting professional with extensive experience in content production and commissioning. Currently serving as a Central Content Commissioning Producer at BBC since May 2018, Ben is instrumental in launching Proteus across the BBC Local network to enhance scheduling strategies. Previously, Ben produced afternoon shows for BBC CWR and BBC Radio WM and worked on Radio X's pre-recorded output at Global. Experience at Bauer Media includes producing breakfast shows across multiple Free Radio stations and managing The Goalzone on Free Radio 80s. Earlier roles include positions as a Producer and Broadcast Assistant at Orion Media Ltd, as well as working as an Entertainment Development Researcher for various companies including STV Group and the BBC.
