Charlie Akeroyd

Charlie Akeroyd is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in the healthcare and media sectors. Currently serving as Marketing Manager for BBC iPlayer since March 2019, Charlie provides strategic marketing support for Radio 4 and 5 Live, while managing campaigns to promote the Sounds app. Prior to this role, Charlie held a Senior Marketing Manager position at Cancer Research UK from August 2014 to February 2019, focusing on brand awareness and patient engagement campaigns. Earlier experience includes Marketing Manager and Officer roles at Breast Cancer Care, where responsibilities encompassed brand management and multi-media campaigns, as well as a Senior Roadshow Organiser position at Diabetes UK, which involved the implementation of promotional strategies. Charlie holds a Mini MBA in Marketing, a Marketing Diploma from CIM, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Sussex.
