Clive Jones

Clive Jones is an accomplished broadcasting professional with extensive experience at BBC Northern Ireland (BBC NI) since February 2000. Currently serving as Head of Department and Head of Software Engineering, Clive manages over 60 staff members and four line managers across diverse departments, requiring in-depth knowledge of broadcasting technology and craft skills. Previous roles include Media Technologies Manager, responsible for overseeing over 50 staff and ensuring seamless technology workflows, and Technology Development Manager, where Clive focused on refining technology and workflows for BBC NI. Prior to roles at BBC NI, Clive worked as a Senior Technologist at BBC Technology, handling the complete lifecycle of post-production and graphics solutions, and began as a Broadcast Engineer at BBC NI.
