David Buckhurst

David Buckhurst is an experienced software engineering leader with a strong background in managing and developing interactive TV solutions at the BBC since November 2012, currently serving as the Head of Software Engineering for iPlayer & Sounds. Prior roles include acting as the Head of Software Engineering and serving as a Software Engineering Manager in the Interactive TV & iPlayer department. Buckhurst has also held positions as a Technical Architect at Inview Technology Ltd. and as a Senior Software Engineer at IBM, Transitive, and Business Objects. Academic qualifications include a Master of Physics in Physics with Astrophysics from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, and a PgCert in Technical Communication from Sheffield Hallam University.
