David Shields

Script Writer (River City)

David Shields is an accomplished scriptwriter with a diverse background in the television and film industry. Notably, David won the 'Pitch in Time' scriptwriting competition at the Cheltenham Screenwriting Festival in March 2008, leading to project development at Ealing Studios. Recent roles include serving as a writer for Fusebox Games and as a freelance scriptwriter for LADbible Group. David is also actively involved in reading submissions for the Edinburgh TV Festival's New Writers Collective and works as a scriptwriter for BBC's "River City" and as a freelance scriptwriter for "Hollyoaks." Previous experience includes storylining for "Emmerdale" as well as roles in script reading at the BBC Studios Writers' Academy. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Playwriting and Screenwriting from the University of the West of Scotland.
