Doug Morris

Doug Morris is an experienced media professional currently serving as a Portfolio Partner at BBC since November 2020. Previously, Morris was the Managing Editor at BBC News from February 2015 to January 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing one of the most successful stations in BBC Local Radio and enhancing digital content. Morris's extensive tenure at BBC from September 1988 to January 2015 included roles such as Assistant Editor, where strategic direction was provided for BBC Newcastle Sport and the launch of the Total Sport programme, and Editor of GNS, where substantial editorial changes were implemented for national and international news content.
