Emma Carruthers

Emma Carruthers is an accomplished software engineer with substantial experience in the industry. Since May 2013, Emma has held various senior positions at BBC, including Senior Principal Software Engineer for both ACE and Sport, and previously served as a Senior Technical Architect and Principal Software Engineer. Prior to joining BBC, Emma worked as a Software Engineer at the University of Manchester from January 2009 to May 2013, and gained earlier experience at Sony Ericsson, Teleca, and Lehman Brothers. Emma completed a BEng (Hons) 1st Class in Software Engineering (with Industrial Experience) at The University of Manchester from 1999 to 2003.
