Fiona Crack is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience at BBC News since May 2003, currently serving as Controller for BBC World Service Languages. In this role, Fiona leads a team of producers to develop innovative news content from the BBC's 28 language services for various platforms, including BBC World News and BBC1. Prior positions at the BBC include Head of Journalism (Central Services) and Senior Producer, where Fiona coordinated major news events and earned noteworthy awards for coverage, including the Royal Wedding and the death of Nelson Mandela. Additionally, Fiona founded and edits the influential programming initiative 100 Women, which highlights women's voices and perspectives. Fiona holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Politics from the University of Leeds, obtained in 2003.
