Gemma Hanley

Gemma Hanley is a Software Engineering Team Lead at the BBC, where they have contributed to various projects in technology, including backend services for the BBC Archive and conversational assistants. Prior to this role, Gemma held positions in testing and quality assurance at Sky and was involved in accounts and administration in the restaurant industry. They have also co-led the WiSTEM Scotland chapter for the BBC, advocating for an inclusive workplace. Gemma earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Glasgow.
