Helen Arney

Helen Arney is a versatile musical theatre creative, songwriter, stand-up and musical comedy performer, and voiceover artist with extensive experience in the UK entertainment industry. As the driving force behind various musical theatre projects since 2007, Arney has contributed as a composer, bookwriter, and lyricist, exploring themes such as early women astronauts and teenage jiu jitsu suffragettes. In addition, Arney has collaborated with the BBC since 2012 on numerous broadcast projects, serving as a songwriter, scriptwriter, and presenter. Notable contributions include segments for BBC2's Coast and QI, and live performances at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall. Arney co-founded the Festival of the Spoken Nerd, a successful science comedy initiative, and has presented the series Outrageous Acts of Science for Discovery Inc. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
