Hicham Yezza is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical consulting, research, and academia. Currently serving as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Reading, Hicham has previously worked as a Technical Consultant and Academic Consultant for various institutional clients, including the World Health Organisation and the EU Commission. Hicham is also a Senior Research Associate with The Partnering Initiative, focusing on multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable development. Additionally, Hicham has contributed expertise as a MENA Expert/Analyst and Senior Journalist with BBC Monitoring and has held the role of Principal Data Scientist for Responsible AI at the BBC. Hicham is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Ceasefire, an independent publication dedicated to human rights and global inequities. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Advanced Computing from the University of Reading.
