Irina Preda

Irina Preda is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at BBC since 2023. Prior to this role, Irina was an AI & Data Science Consultant at Dataify Ltd from 2022 to 2023, and held the position of Data Science Lead at DataKind UK from 2021 to 2022. Irina also served as AI Project Lead at Open Development and Education Ltd., and worked as a Data Scientist at Gower Street Analytics from 2019 to 2020. Previous experience includes a role as an AI & Software Engineer at Good-Loop and as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Edinburgh. Irina Preda holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh, achieved in 2017, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow, completed in 2016.
