James Hand

James Hand has over two decades of experience in the media and technology sectors, currently serving as a Senior Technology Analyst at BBC since December 2015, where key responsibilities include researching and demonstrating emerging consumer and broadcast technologies. In addition to this role, James contributes as a volunteer for BBC School Report and acts as a Technology Demonstrator in the BBC Blue Room, promoting awareness of technological advancements. Since March 2016, James has also mentored young leaders for the Media Trust. Previous experience includes operations at NSG Pilkington from February 2013 to September 2015 and extensive freelance event management from December 2003 to April 2011 for notable events such as the British International Motor Show and the BBC Good Food Show. Earlier in James's career, positions included Assistant Floor Manager and Studio Runner at BBC from March 2000 to November 2003, working on various high-profile programs.
