Jamie Smy is a seasoned content strategist and advocate for diversity and inclusion, currently serving as a Senior Strategy Manager at the BBC. With a background as a former Mouseketeer, Jamie has extensive experience in kids' television, programming acquisitions, and DEI initiatives, particularly focusing on LGBTQ+ representation. Previously, Jamie held various roles at Disney, including Kids & Family Acquisitions, where they led negotiations and relationship management for significant projects. Jamie is passionate about mental health and the importance of diverse storytelling, striving to ensure that all voices are represented on screen. They are pursuing a BA (Hons) in Media Practice and Theory, Cultural Studies at the University of Sussex.
