Jo Penrose

Jo Penrose is a versatile professional with extensive experience in sports media and communication. Currently serving as a backwaller at BBC Radio Wales Sport since September 2022, Jo has also worked as a researcher on a new rugby program for BBC Wales. In 2024, Jo joined Disability Sport Wales as a Social Media Manager and Tir Natur as a Content Creator. Jo has held various roles, including Rugby Social Producer and Tennis Researcher at Two Circles, and Content Producer during the Paralympic Games with Little Dot Studios. Prior experience includes content creation for the Mental Health Foundation and Media and PR Assistant for Visit Wales' St David's Day campaign with Orchard Media and Events Group. Additionally, Jo contributed to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as a Team Wales Communications Assistant. Jo holds a Master's degree in Sport Broadcast from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a BSc in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Exeter.
