Joan Purvis has extensive experience in the broadcasting and legal sectors, currently serving as the Head of Rights for CRBA News International Services at BBC since April 2005. Previously, Joan held roles as Business Affairs Manager for Arts, Daytime, Factual and Scripted, and as Legal & Business Affairs Manager for Audio & Music at BBC. From 2003 to 2005, Joan worked as a Legal Manager at BBC (Commercial Agency). Joan Purvis holds an LLB (Hons) in law from The University of Edinburgh, an LLM in Law, and a SJD in Law from Tulane University Law School, as well as a LPC from Northumbria University.
