Joel Adlington

Joel Adlington (MSyI MCMI) serves as the Corporate Security Manager for the BBC in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales since March 2022. In a previous role as a Global High Risk Advisor for BBC News, Joel provided guidance on safety requirements globally, collaborating with senior executives and editorial teams. Prior experience includes leadership positions in security management for major events and organizations such as Flash Entertainment for the FIFA Club World Cup 2021, Expo 2020 Dubai, and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Joel's extensive background features roles in protective security and risk management, beginning with a decade-long career in the British Army, complemented by advanced education in Risk and Resilience through an MBA from the University of the West of Scotland.
