Jonathan Swingler

Jonathan Swingler is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a Senior Journalist and Reporter at BBC since February 2020. Previously, Jonathan held roles as a Video Journalist at BBC News from May 2015 to February 2020 and at BBC Look North for a brief period in early 2014. A notable project included producing online, radio, and TV features about the impact of World War I in Northern England. Jonathan's career began with positions at BBC Radio Cleveland and various reporting roles on the Politics Show, along with freelance journalism for ITV Tyne Tees, BBC Scotland, and Scot FM. Educational qualifications include a MA (Hons) in Politics from The University of Edinburgh and a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Cardiff University.
