Lachlan Radford

Lachlan Radford serves as a Double Bass Professor in the Junior Department at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama from July 2011 to April 2025, nurturing talented young musicians in London. As a double bassist, Lachlan has performed with the Berkeley Ensemble and contributed as a musician with various prominent orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and BBC Philharmonic. Experience includes roles as Director of Music for the collaborative supergroup Breakfast of Champions and participation in the London-based acoustic trio More Like Trees. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Music with Honours from Auckland University and a Bachelor of Music from Victoria University of Wellington, both focusing on Music Performance for double bass and trombone.
