Mark Hayes

Mark Hayes is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in leading teams and developing software solutions. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer at the BBC since May 2017, Mark specializes in managing a RESTful API for personalized content and conducting Big Data analysis for business insights. Prior to this role, Mark worked at CGI from March 2012 to March 2017 as a Java Developer and Development Team Leader for a Satellite Communications project, as well as a Software Testing Team Leader overseeing SIT testing for a fire control application. Mark's career began at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory from March 2006 to March 2012, focusing on developing models related to human physiology and analyzing defense equipment effectiveness. Mark holds an MPhys degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, completed in 2005.
