Michael Maclean

Michael Maclean is a Lead Architect in Infosec Architecture at the BBC, a position they have held since 2023. Previously, they served in various roles at the BBC, including Principal Software Engineer and Senior Technical Architect. Michael also organized the Whisky Web conference from 2012 to 2013 and worked as a System Developer at Enterprise Management Consulting Ltd from 2005 to 2010, where they specialized in building Linux-based servers and developing web applications. They began their career as a Customer Service Agent at Iomart in 2000. Michael holds a BSc (Hons) in Combined Studies from Heriot-Watt University, completed in 2005.
