Paul Blakeley

Paul Blakeley is an experienced operations and management professional with a career spanning over two decades at the BBC. Blakeley served as Head of Operations at BBC North from 2015 to 2019, overseeing the smooth operation of the Salford Quays site and managing third-party contracts, technology strategy, and business continuity. Prior to that, Blakeley held the position of Managing Editor at BBC Radio 5 live and 5 live sports extra from 2005 to 2015, alongside various operational and editorial roles. Since November 2022, Blakeley has been the Director of Business Operations at the BBC. Educationally, Blakeley earned a degree in Radio, Film & Television from Canterbury Christ Church University between 1987 and 1990.
