Rachel Close

Rachel Close is currently a Senior Responsible AI Manager at the BBC, where they focus on Governance and Risk Management within the Responsible AI team. With a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh, Rachel has eight years of experience as a security governance consultant with Big 4 firms, specializing in areas such as third-party risk management and artificial intelligence. They have also co-chaired the Central Scotland EY Women's Network and have a diverse background in theatre, particularly in stage combat and fight choreography. Prior to their role at the BBC, Rachel held various positions, including manager within EY's Financial Services Cybersecurity practice.
