Ross Wilson is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as the Lead Architect at the BBC, Ross is focused on media ingest, movement, storage, and archiving. Previously, Ross was a Solutions Architect at Gumtree.com, where a significant achievement included successfully migrating the platform to Google Cloud. Ross's career at the BBC spans nearly a decade in various roles, from Graduate Developer to Senior Technical Architect, contributing to large-scale business transformations and the development of secure authentication systems. Additionally, Ross founded KitScan, providing asset tracking solutions, and has held various web development and consulting roles across different organizations. Ross earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from Lancaster University and has built a solid educational foundation with a GCE Advanced Level from Sandbach School.
