Samira Ahmed is an accomplished broadcaster and journalist with extensive experience in radio and television. Since July 2011, Ahmed has been a staff and freelance broadcaster/presenter at the BBC, hosting programmes such as Front Row on BBC Radio 4 and multiple shows on BBC TV including Newswatch and Art of Persia. Ahmed previously worked at ITN as a presenter/reporter for Channel 4 News, earning the 2009 Stonewall Broadcast of the Year award, and held various roles across prominent news organizations including BBC News and Deutsche Welle TV. In addition to broadcasting, Ahmed serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Historic England and has contributed to esteemed publications such as The Guardian and The New Statesman.
