Simon Young

Simon Young is the Head of History, Factual Commissioning at the BBC, where they oversee significant historical productions including acclaimed series such as 9/11: Inside the President's War Room and Untouchable: The Rise and Fall of Harvey Weinstein. Previously, Simon worked as Senior Director of Development & Production at National Geographic Channel, contributing to Emmy-winning projects like Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes. Simon's extensive background includes roles in independent TV production, where they executive produced notable documentaries on the discovery of King Richard III. Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Durham and a Master of Arts in Comparative Art and Archaeology from University College London.
