Simone Spaccarotella

Simone Spaccarotella, MBCS, is a seasoned Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at BBC, where responsibilities include collaboration with the Recommendation team and leadership roles in software engineering. With extensive experience in various capacities at BBC since July 2014, Simone has contributed to key projects such as the BBC Sounds web application and iPlayer Radio. Prior experience includes roles as a Java Consultant at Reply and a Java Developer at ThinkOpen Srl, alongside tutoring in Computer Science at the Università della Calabria. Currently pursuing a Level 7 AI and Data Science Apprenticeship through Cambridge Spark, Simone holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Università della Calabria.
