Sonya Mooney

Sonya Mooney is a seasoned marketing professional currently serving as the Senior Head of Marketing at BBC, overseeing Marketing, Media, and in-house Creative teams in BBC Northern Ireland since January 2024. Previously, Sonya led Marketing Communications at Specsavers, implementing national campaigns across various media platforms in the UK, ROI, and ESP from January 2022 to January 2024. At Pizza Hut Restaurants UK, Sonya held roles as Digital Marketing Lead and Marketing Manager from November 2015 to January 2022, spearheading digital strategies and managing marketing across multiple channels. Sonya began her career with positions at Tesco PLC, adam&eveDDB, and The Union, and holds an MA in Anthropology & Philosophy from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde.
