Sophy Jacob is a highly experienced senior leader specializing in project management, transformation, and change delivery, with over 20 years in the media industry. Currently serving as a Non-Executive Board Member at The University of Salford, Sophy previously held various leadership roles at the BBC, including Director of Children’s & Education and Head of Business, where they adeptly managed large teams through challenging circumstances such as the Covid crisis. Sophy is recognized for implementing strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and promote an inclusive workforce. A trained BBC Leadership Coach, they also initiated a Book Club to foster intellectual and emotional support among peers.
