Tim Fernley

Tim Fernley is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and production. Currently serving as a Production Management Assistant at the BBC since September 2018, Tim supports journalists and producers in creating investigative documentaries and audio productions for prominent platforms such as Radio 4 and the World Service. Prior to this role, Tim worked as a Journalism Assistant within the BBC, also focusing on long form audio content. As a freelancer from March 2017 to August 2018, Tim coordinated live and pre-recorded programs for National BBC Radio and engaged in local commercial radio presenting. Tim's earlier career includes significant roles as a Breakfast and Drivetime Presenter at Pure 107.8 fm, a Radio Project Officer in community radio initiatives, an IT Helpdesk Analyst and Team Leader at IBM, and a Brand Manager at Arcadia Group Ltd. Tim holds educational credentials from Dukinfield High School, completing studies in July 1981.
