Tim Stimpson is an accomplished writer and artistic director with extensive experience in both theatre and television. From 2002 to 2010, Tim served as a Writer and Artistic Director for Net Curtains Theatre Company, producing notable plays such as 'Skyscraping' and 'One, Nineteen.' Tim's television credits include writing for prestigious BBC shows like 'Doctors,' 'Casualty,' 'EastEnders,' and 'Ambridge Extra.' With a significant role as a writer, script editor, and storyliner for 'The Archers,' Tim has contributed several hundred episodes to the world's longest-running drama series, earning multiple awards including a BBC Audio Drama Award. Since 2014, Tim has been writing for BOLDtext Playwrights and has been a Course Instructor at BBC Academy since 2020. Tim is also a guest speaker at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, focusing on writing for continuing drama. Tim holds an MPhil in Playwriting Studies and a BA (Hons) in English and Drama from The University of Birmingham.
