Des Carter has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2004, Des worked as a Client Service Representative at TD Ameritrade until 2006. Des then became a Licensed Insurance Agent at Allstate from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, Des joined Wells Fargo as a Product Specialist for a brief period of time. From 2017 to 2018, Des worked as a Captive Medicare Sales Agent at GoHealth. Des then moved on to Messer Financial Group as a Producer Support Specialist from 2019 to 2020. In 2022, Des worked as a Client Support Specialist at loanDepot before transitioning to BBP Admin and Risk Strategies Company, where Des currently holds the position of VP of Business Development. In this role, Des is responsible for driving the growth strategy by executing marketing initiatives, sales proposals, presentations, and ensuring smooth client group implementations.
Des Carter earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Central Piedmont Community College in 2015. They went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from 2015 to 2017.
