Franz Hassmann

Franz Hassmann is an experienced technology and data executive with a strong background in cybersecurity and strategic operations. Currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Tech & Data and CIO at BBVA Technology since September 2017, as well as holding the role of CTO and Global Tech Leader, Franz has a proven track record in leadership positions. Previous roles include COO at Innovation 4 Security from March 2013 to September 2017, where strategic planning was a key focus, and Associate Director of IT Governance, Risk and Security at Solium eService Center. Franz’s early career includes significant positions at Ernst & Young, Azertia, Caja Madrid, Deloitte España, and Unisys, highlighting extensive expertise in security consultancy, IT auditing, and project management. Educational credentials include an Executive MBA from IE Business School and a degree in Computer Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
