Adrian Magana is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in financial management and operational risk. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President and Head of Operational Risk and Risk Control Assurance at BBVA since 2021, Adrian oversees non-financial risks across various divisions, providing leadership in risk management strategies. Previously, as the Executive Vice President and Deputy CFO for Corporate and Investment Banking at BBVA in the USA, Adrian advised top executives and managed financial planning for the CI&B sector. Adrian's career at BBVA includes roles such as Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as Corporate Finance, and earlier as Vice President of Investor Relations and External Financing at BBVA Bancomer. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by additional studies at IESE Business School and The University of Texas at Austin.
