Carlos Russell

Carlos Russell is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in commercial underwriting. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior Commercial Underwriter at BBVA since January 2018, Carlos is responsible for underwriting large business and community banking loan transactions up to $60 million, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Prior to this role, Carlos held the position of Assistant Vice President at Regions Bank from December 2008 to January 2018, focusing on underwriting large commercial and SBA loans while evaluating industry risks and conducting financial analyses. Carlos also gained valuable experience as a Branch Manager at Wells Fargo from October 2002 to December 2008, where responsibilities included underwriting consumer loans and managing branch operations. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management from Faulkner University.
