Enrique Checa Esteban is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in architecture and consulting within the banking sector. Currently serving as the Global Head of Architecture at BBVA since March 2023, Enrique previously held multiple roles at BBVA, including Global Head of Core Banking Architecture and Head of Architecture for Customer Solutions & Corporate Investment Banking. Prior experience includes positions as CIO at Evo Banco and numerous consulting roles at Accenture and The Boston Consulting Group, where Enrique progressed to Principal. Additionally, Enrique contributed to the governance of solarisBank AG as a member of the Supervisory Board. Enrique holds a Licenciado degree in Derecho y ADE from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, obtained between 1999 and 2005.
