Fernando Soriano

Fernando Soriano is an experienced financial professional currently serving as the Head of Treasury (ALM & Funding) M.D. at BBVA Spain since January 2004, where responsibilities include liquidity management, interest rate risk management, and overseeing the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) portfolio. Previously, Fernando held the position of Head of Euro ALM M.D. at BBVA Head Office, focusing on structural FX and interest rate risk management. From January 1999 to January 2004, Fernando was the Deputy Director of the Fixed Income Department at BBVA Asset Management, and before that, worked as a short-term cash and derivatives trader at Bank of America from June 1996 to January 1999. Fernando holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University, along with a degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance from Universidad de Zaragoza.
