Javier Cela Luque

Javier Cela Luque has extensive experience in financial management and strategic oversight within the banking and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy & Control CIB Engineering and Engineering CFO at BBVA since April 2008, Javier has held various leadership roles including Investment & Cost Director. Javier's previous board positions include membership on the Board of Directors for BBVA Next Technologies, ATA (BBVA Tech Co), I4S Innovation4Security, and BEEVA, as well as serving as an administrator for BlueIndico Investments. Prior to BBVA, Javier worked with BBVA Compass as US Financial Controller and held key positions at BBVA and Banco Santander, including US Chief Internal Auditor. Javier's educational background includes a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and executive education in Finance from Texas McCombs School of Business.
