Jon Ander Beracoechea

Jon Ander Beracoechea, PhD, serves as Chief Scientist and Global Discipline Head of Advanced Analytics at BBVA since February 2020. Previously, Jon Ander was CEO and Senior Data Scientist at BBVA Data & Analytics from November 2013 to March 2021. Prior to this, Jon Ander held the position of Assistant Director in the Quantitative Research Group at Moody's Analytics, where responsibilities included developing models for CCAR stress testing and Economic Capital estimation. Jon Ander began the professional career as a Front Office Quantitative Analyst at Banco Santander, focusing on the development and maintenance of quantitative libraries for valuating derivatives on inflation and interest rates. Jon Ander earned a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
