Miguel Alcala

Miguel Alcala serves as the Managing Director and Head of the Spain team at BBVA Spark, leading a global initiative focused on supporting high-growth and innovative companies as well as venture capital funds through banking products and financial advice. With over 17 years of experience at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, previous roles include Executive Director of Client Solutions, overseeing strategy and product development, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Executive Chairman's Office. Notably recognized as the Best Equity Analyst by Thomson Reuters in 2010, Miguel has also contributed to various startups and fintechs as a non-executive Board member. Prior positions include M&A Senior Analyst at Confivendis Corporate Finance, Supervisor Auditor at PwC, and Senior Auditor at Deloitte. Miguel holds an MBA from IE Business School, alongside other advanced degrees in financial modeling, valuation, and economy.
