Shehzad Khan

Shehzad Khan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in debt advisory and capital structuring. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of US Debt Advisory at BBVA since January 2022, Shehzad leads an advisory team focused on optimizing capital structures, enhancing debt capacity, managing cost of capital, and improving credit ratings and liquidity for U.S. corporates. Prior to BBVA, Shehzad held the position of Executive Director at Santander Investment Securities, advising Fortune 500 clients on capital structuring and ratings. At Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, from January 2011 to January 2018, responsibilities included managing corporate relationships, originating liquidity solutions, overseeing deal execution, and training junior staff. Shehzad began a career in leveraged finance as an Analyst at BNP Paribas, where involvement encompassed the full origination and execution of multiple LBO transactions. Shehzad holds a dual degree in Finance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
