Sofia Spiers

Sofia Spiers is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of GTB Distribution at BBVA since March 2023. Previously, Sofia held the position of Director and Board Trustee at Girls' Learning Trust, a voluntary role from February 2022 to March 2023. From September 2016 to March 2023, Sofia was a Director at Crédit Agricole CIB, focusing on Credit Risk Insurance. Prior to that, Sofia worked at Lloyds Banking Group as Associate Director in Relationship Solutions for Financial Institutions, handling regulatory and capital solutions from May 2015 to September 2016. Sofia's earlier experience includes serving as Vice President in Capital & Portfolio Management at NatWest Group (June 2011 - May 2015) and working as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Deutsche Bank (July 2010 - June 2011), with an initial role as a Summer Analyst at the same institution in 2009. Sofia holds an MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, earned between 2006 and 2010.
