Tom Gibbs

Tom Gibbs has over 25 years of experience in the life science and biotechnology industries. Tom is currently a board member at BC Platforms, a company that provides data management solutions for the clinical and research markets. Prior to joining BC Platforms, Tom was the business development manager for life sciences at Parker Hannifin Europe. In this role, they identified customer needs and product opportunities to better serve those needs in the life science market.

Tom has also held leadership positions at Med Discovery, Covalys Biosciences, and Molecular Devices Corp. As the director of operations at Med Discovery, they were responsible for managing the day-to-day business, including legal, quality, and infrastructure. Tom also managed the outsourcing of manufacturing and preclinical toxicology activities. At Covalys Biosciences, they ran the marketing and support group, developed marketing collateral, and launched over 50 reagent products in two years. And as product manager at Molecular Devices Corp, they were responsible for biosensor systems.

Tom earned their MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Tom Gibbs has a PhD in Microbial Genetics from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Applied Biology from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology.
