Cory Vierra is a Scientist of Process Chemistry at BCD Bioscience. Cory received their undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from California State University-Sacramento in 2015 and their graduate degree in Chemistry in 2019. Cory's work experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at California State University-Sacramento from May 2015 to June 2019, where they worked on the Synthesis, Optimization and Analysis of Hexavalent Sulfoglycodendrimers as Anti-Viral Agents. Cory has also presented their work at multiple conferences, including the 253rd ACS National Meeting in San Francisco CA, April 2-6, 2017, 29th International Carbohydrate Symposium 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, CSU Annual Biotechnology Symposium 31st Symposium, January 3-5, and ACS National Meeting in Orlando Florida, March 31- April 4, 2019. Cory has also been assistant lab manager, ensuring chemical inventory is up to date and placing requests for all supplies and chemicals needed to keep the lab operational. When any lab equipment required maintenance or repair, Cory was directly involved in its repair, replacement and/or servicing.
Cory Vierra received their Master's degree in Chemistry from California State University-Sacramento. Cory also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the same school. Cory started their college career at Folsom Lake College where they earned their Associate of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies: Math and Science. Cory also has several certifications from California State University-Sacramento, including Fire Safety/Extinguisher, Compressed Gas Safety, Laboratory Safety Fundamentals 2018, Campus Disaster/Emergency Preparedness v2016, and Hazardous Waste Management.
