Steve Watkins

Steven Watkins is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and food science sectors. Currently serving as CEO of Verso Biosciences since July 2016, Watkins is also the Lead Strategist and Technical Advisor for The Periodic Table of Food Initiative and holds dual roles as President and Chief Executive Officer at one.bio. Prior to these positions, Watkins was Chief Technology Officer at Metabolon, Senior Visiting Scientist at Harvard School of Public Health, and Chief Technology Officer at Tethys Bioscience. Watkins' entrepreneurial spirit is evident from the tenure as CEO, Founder, and CSO of Lipomics Technologies. Academically, Watkins earned a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. from Cornell University.
