Allyson C.

Allyson C. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Allyson most recently worked at BC Financial Services Authority as a Sr. Risk Analyst in the Insurance & Trust division since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at BDO Canada as a Manager in Risk Advisory Services from November 2020 to April 2022. Allyson also held the role of Manager in Audit & Accounting from January 2020 to November 2020 and Senior Accountant from September 2017 to January 2020 at BDO Canada. In 2018, they were a Senior Accountant on secondment at BDO in New Zealand for a few months. Before joining BDO, they worked at Deloitte Canada as a Staff Accountant from January 2016 to July 2017. Prior to their career in accounting, Allyson worked as an Internal Communications Specialist at APEC - Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation from May 2015 to November 2015. Allyson also held communications positions at The University of British Columbia and project coordination roles at both The University of British Columbia and BC Children's Hospital Foundation. In addition to their experience in finance and communications, Allyson has a background in project coordination and business analysis, having worked as a Project Coordinator at The University of British Columbia and a Business Analyst at TransAlta. Allyson also worked briefly as an HR Recruitment Assistant at Canadian Blood Services.

Allyson C. has a diverse education background. In 2021, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors. This was achieved through the Qualified Accounting Designation Challenge Exam.

Prior to that, Allyson completed the CPA Professional Education Program offered by Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2018.

Allyson also pursued a Diploma in Accounting Program at The University of British Columbia.

Before focusing on accounting, Allyson earned a Bachelor's of Arts with Honors in Psychology from Queen's University.

Additionally, they obtained an Advanced Citation in Global Leadership from the Faculty of Extension at the University of Alberta.

Lastly, Allyson participated in a Bilateral Student Exchange program at University College Maastricht in the Netherlands.
